Upon completion of the combination, Takeda has confirmed that it will maintain its global headquarters in Japan, while expanding its R&D presence in the Boston area and continuing to maintain regional hubs in Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the US.

Lexington employees- Unless your name ends in MD or you wear a lab coat, shave your face, dump the pocket square, find those ties and get your resume ready.

Hahahaha... guess where Shire global headquarters is? Give you a hint: not Lexington.

Even a basic fucking Google search shows Takeda has a huge presence in Cambridge already, and they'll love the Tech Square building Shire obtained with Baxalta - plenty of space. HQ isn't going anywhere, but this level of thinking is beyond your pay grade so I can't blame you for your stupid assumption.

Once again, I salute the folks who left right after the Baxalta acquisition, of their own free will, because they saw the writing on the wall. They got out in time, ensured their careers stayed on track (many with even better positions) and now we are all sitting back and watching the final fiasco unfold. Takeda culture will wipe out the dreadful Shire culture which is not a bad thing. For many it will feel like a rescue operation. For the ignorant Shire people who think they can continue their abusive, toxic ways, change is acoming!!!

I look forward to Shires culture being erased. When Fleming is out, hopefully that starts the much needed change

There will be a good chance Takeda’s main US hub in Chicago will be moved to Boston area.

Spark it up - viva la Baxalta! Left shortly after day one, watching the Shire regime high fiving each other and thinking you couldn’t pay me enough to stay in such a toxic place after the wonderful Baxalta experience. Alas, I moved on to bigger and MUCH better things whilst the same people who were riding high on June 3, 2016 are now scurrying to find something outside of Shire, shocked at what is unfolding. Pharma Karma, baby.
