The prior poster was talking about put options for Pfizer. Over next few days, you'd want to own call options on AZ.
 




Just like the British to DEMAND a company protect jobs for a decade, even if there is a real compelling reason to eliminate jobs due to business conditions years down the road! Typical politicians sticking their disgusting noses in the affairs of private business.

Private? Publicly traded AND regulated. But I agree that this is dirty...one government helping a company avoid the taxes they owe to do business in our country for their tax gain. Do nay of you ever see the posts from the Brits? Americans are stupid to pay the prices that we do. BUT everyone wants to have market share here for the profits. When push comes to shove, businesses dont want to pay the poper to do business here. Before you get all riled up I will say the taxes in the US are an absolute obamanation. But like the stock market, you diversify and ride it out. But you still have to take the hard knocks when the going gets tough. Eventually there wont be enough employed people to pay those ridiculous prices. Then what? Much as I hTe to say it, gov should step in on this one. Its underhanded and greedy. Ok, now a bunch of you are going to start slinging the names...

oh puh-leeze. Pfizer has been paying its taxes all along. Besides, where's your outrage ? Go look how many companies domicile in lower tax states, for 1 reason, to avoid taxes in the higher tax state.
pfizer is just taking the ballgame internationally.

Amen. And the record revenues don't even come close to satisfying the Feds insatiable appetite. But keep feeding Joe Sixpack meaningless sound bites about corporate greed, rich vs poor, black vs white, gay vs straight, liberal vs conservative, Wall Street vs Main Street, this vs that, us vs them, blah, blah, blah, ad infinitum, and pretty soon nobody cares, nobody knows, nobody knows enough to care or cares enough to know. That's when it all collapses into something that will make 2008 and 1929 seem like the good old days. This deal is just one of many, many signs that we are indeed on the brink. The debt is in the parabolic phase. The problem is there is no where else to put your money. Interest rates are so low that the stock market remains strong.

It will crash hard one day. The money from this puny Pfizer Az deal is gobbled up by US debt in about a week. Meanwhile the deems transfers enormous amounts to those in the US who produce nothing.

Don't put any faith in the US dollar, the stock market. Prepare for the worst.
 








Even if merger doesn't go thru, look for cuts especially on US sales force side (AZ shareholders expect something either Pfizer's money or cuts to increase share price / dividends)
