Severance payout

strange that Medical was cut so quickly. Usually you have 30 days after termination that allows for time for Cobra to kick in. Lets hope no one gets sick. The direct deposit was VERY nice. Glad it came early.

Yes, I got mine and was very surprised. Nothing like getting $60,000 plus getting paid from my new job which is paying me $10,000 more than Genentech!! I am PSYCHED...thanks for the layoff!

What is the deal with medical benefits being severed? I thought that Gene was covering our Cobra benefits? Are former employees (and our families) going without coverage right now? When does Cobra become active???

RE: Benefits-all you have to do is tell your doctor or the hospital to submit claims AFTER Cobra kicks in. You will be covered for all claims from January 19th on.

Easier said then done. I had a office tell me I had to pay $12000 or 30% at least in order to have a needed procedure done. Of course this was before I knew our coverage was terminated. I kept insisiting I had insurance. I really wish genentech would have told us before hand that there would be a minor lapse. I would have scheduled my surgery for a later date. The last thing an unemployed person can afford is medical bills even if we do get reimbursed on the back end.

How did you all feel about your 'incentive bonus'?
Do you feel you got stiffed?
Mine was half of what I expected and I exceeded all 2010 goals.
I am also informed that the bonus pool was exactly same as last year.
Thanks Roche!

Nice try gTroll but it's obvious that you don't work for Roche.
We have not recieved IC; IC has nothing to do with goals; and bonus pool means nothing.

poor stupid ass gTroll
