Severance Package

Most people will take the severance package and they should but they can also file a complaint with the EEOC. You just will not be able to sue Novartis. The EEOC can proceed with a lawsuit against Novartis. This way you still receive your money and health insurance but Novartis will be under the microscope by the EEOC. There will be a few people who will not sign the severance packages and will gamble on filing a lawsuit. Remember the gender discrimination lawsuit was started by one female in 2004, then the others signed on and in 2007 it was certified into a class action. That lawsuit started by one strong female resulted in 6,200 women receiving money from Novartis. Whether you believe that money was just for everyone does not matter. It shows the power that we as employees do have. It is a time consuming process but sometime satisfaction takes a while.

There are 2 "buckets" of people dealing with the lawfirm.
1. People over 40/50 with great ratings and tenure, lost out to people of less of each as well as age, lower salaried, no national awards, as well as forced ranking in May 2010 and faulty data. Actual discrimination in many areas
2. People that are not happy they were released based on data/ forced ranking in May 2010 but still contacting lawfirm for piece of pie if there is one.

Either way, N deceived many on the reason for the displacement and again practiced deception as well as discrimination to further their goal. Time to pay N!
