Serious question

I feel quite certain the title of this thread will attract some pretty funny answers, but I hope to get just a couple that will help me understand things here at Questcor.

I am interviewing for a Neurology sales position and would just like to know what the salary range is, how many pt starts are expected per quarter or month and how the reps like working here.

Go ahead, start flingin' mud. A couple of serous replies, would also help.
 






I like working here, it is a good company overall. How much you are expected to sell depends on the territory you get and what the history has been. You can make good money but it is not easy and you need to work hard or it won't happen. Managers are pretty cool overall, some better than others as is the case anywhere.

Ask a lot of questions regarding the territory and why the position is open. Ask for documentation on the last year of sales. Most of the territories that are open are open for a reason. Occasionally you might get a territory that wasn't worked well, but after the last expansion there are territories that are just not viable. In 3 years I've seen reps let go, a new rep hired, and the territory is still not producing. (These are not bad reps, despite what comments this thread will get about "loser" reps that can't handle this job) This company functions like medical device. If you don't produce, your fired. This is an incredibly hard sell, and your territory and managed care climate really determine your potential. Try to find a couple reps in the same region that will give you some honest background info. Good luck!!
 






Thanks for the input. It is a neurology sales position. I spoke to the internal recruiter yesterday and was told this is a new division. I will be on the hunt tomorrow for anyone in the nephrology division in my area to get some candid feedback.

Definitely ask lots of questions. The neurology division is the first and oldest division Qcor has. Neuro expanded in 2010 and again in 2012. So none of the territories are new, technically. We've had a handful of territories that have not been filled. And my guess there is something wrong if a territory has been open for over a year?? Big red flag.

We have RA which is a newer division. Neph is a couple years old. And the newest, just getting started is PUL. So make sure you now what division and the history of the territory! Go to linkedin to find Qcor people in your area.
