Serious background check question

I am in several stages into the interview process for a senior sales position with LabCorp.

Please no trolls. I humbly would like to know for certain, about disclosure to HR about shameful events that I was a part of (in a criminal sense) many, many years ago. Honestly, I made some terrible decisions partying and driving home late at night.... so I have a few DUIs that are over 15 years old. I also have a bankruptcy due to medical bills in 2005.

My life is entirely different now. I am a family man in my early forties and have had many successful years as a healthcare professional.

1. How far back can LabCorp go as far as my history etc?

or

2. If no one can answer definitively, can I call the company they utilize for these inquiries proactively and would they tell me?

I think you're in trouble with multiple DUIs. We they felony or misdemeanor DUIs? Did you have a lawyer at the time plea the charge down?

If they are felony, I don't think it matters how far back they were. I'd go through the process and see how this plays out.

Think you might be OK. Believe case law calls for background criminal checks for last 8 years. You also cant be discriminated against given you paid whatever debt to society you had.

The critical thing is not to have falsified any employment related paperwork.

There's a case to be made ( though no guarantee) that you should provide full disclosure about these things to your point of contact as a matter of good faith.

OP here....I read that the limitation may depend on the state. Also read that it depends on whether or not you can reasonably expect more than 75k per year. In that event, there is no limit.

I have worked at background checking company before. They cannot discuss anything with you so no need to call. Secondly, bankruptcies and DUIs happen everyday to all sorts of people, much more common than you think. As another person commented, the most important thing is to be truthful. Past behavior can be explained and forgiven. You should be ok. I would recommend working to expung record. You can only do once so be thorough and always call a cab.

Yes you worked there, but weren't you mopping floors and emptying wastecans?

who calls a cab anymore. Dumbass

Don't say a word. LabCorp HR is afraid of their own shadow so I can only imagine how they would handle your past DUI's (multiple? really you dumb ass!). LabCorp is a shit hole for sure but you should be good to roll here with the rest of the morons that choose to stay here (yes me included).

OP here. Thanks for all the people that provided sincere answers. For all the others, youndont know a personspecircumatances not the details of ny event, go pound sand or acquire a new hobby vs. coming on this thread and the web in general, just to call people names.
