Currently interviewing with several big pharma companies for senior scientist position. Have completed 4 years postdoc, many papers, good pedigree.

My research suggests that $110-130k base salary may be the best I can expect. Is there substantial bonus in pharma? Also how is career and salary progression like?

No insult intended but if the starting salary go into another livelyhood. My reps make more than that!

Depends on your field but those numbers sound about right. Need to get promoted at least once and more likely twice in order to qualify for large bonuses. Not a great time for pharma R&D right now, lots of downsizing and uncertainty in careers within pharma.
