Senior Research Associate pay level?

Maybe this has been answered here before but I didn't find it. I have a Ph.D. in Biochem and just about finished my postdoc. I'm looking into jobs in industry and talked to a recruiter who suggested a Research Associate position at Genentech. I understand this is the appropriate level for this company, but can you tell me if the pay is at the research associate level or other companies? Or is it comparable to a Scientist position that is offered for the same degree/experience at a different company?

You should really just apply for the job to find out. Every company has a different title for the same exact job. Would you pass up applying for a job just because someone told you a number that is not an actual offer? Would you rather be unemployed? The worst thing that can happen is they make a low offer. You always have the option to decline it.
