Seal the Deal

Time to Seal the Deal. Give Valeant everything it wants.

Surgical is going to be sold. If you work in R&D in Rochester in the Surgical Division be prepared to move to California.

If you work in Pharma R&D be prepared to be downsized as job duplications will be found.

If you work in Vision Care. Fight off your Pharma colleagues that will try to project themselves as Vision Care Experts. It is your turf. Defend it.

Good Luck

Bob

Bob-suck it!

Pharma has relationships and is leveraging them to sell product. Prolensa is doing better than Ilevro and technically better than Lotemax Gel.

Surgical has new products and is moving forward.

Vision Care has a new lens but not much else.

Sorry, but Vision Care is the loser here.

If you fools are smart you will all look for another job; valeant will butcher Bausch like they did medicis when they purchased. Your full time job should be looking for another job.

Vision Care is the clear winner. Since Valeant has no experience with Vision Care all of the Vision Care people will be kept and probably given bonuses to stay. Pharma people are a dime a dozen in this new company. Surgical is not a business that Valeant wants. I would not be surprised if Valeant just buys the Pharma and Vision Care business.

As a wild card Valeant may just buy the Pharma business and WP makes a side deal with another company and sells the Vision Care business. Either way if you are in Pharma plan to spend your weekends updating your resume. You will need it even if you are not let go immediately as Valeant will ask for it to evaluate your value in the new company.

Bausch & Lomb’s eye medicines fit with Valeant’s strategy to focus on niche areas of medicine that don’t require a large infrastructure or sales force, Davis said. Valeant will likely be looking to cut costs and fire workers at Bausch & Lomb to increase the profitability of its products, he said

Very true...Valeant laid off Medicis and Dermik reps once they were acquired...

Very true. I have 2 friends that worked at Medicis, both COE winners multiple times and had been with Medicis 4 years. They were given 1 month severance per year worked. How shitty of Valeant and how greedy they are and this industry has become. Punish those reps who have brought you in the business for years. Absolutely disgraceful.
