hey all,

I was wondering if I could get some advice.

Just got a call from a recruiter for a clinical specialist position in Ohio.

Thoughts? Should I take the job? Also interviewing with Zimmer at this time...

Thanks!!!!

I was also called this week on this position. Anyone have any serious info on the salary expectations? Also, how likely is it that you will eventually move into a territory manager role if you are willing to relocate? What are the salary expectations at that level? I was recently laid off and from reading on here, I would be taking a significant pay cut for the clinical specialist position but it could definitely be worth it in the long run. Thoughts?

I declined it... good luck buddy

Good company with this particular division beginning to really hurt MDT and SJM with their new disruptive programming platforms and 32 contact leads. Company is expanding, jump on while you can.

The CS is the "dog" position of all three Stim companies. They all may say that it could potentially be the "first step" of getting into a future sales role. In seven years, at two of the three companies, it doesn't happen. You are a CS and will always be a CS. They will tell you that you should just be happy having a job in today's tough economy. I'd look for a job in specialty PHARMA, or completely outside of medical sales. You will be happy you made that choice 2-3 years from now, when they're laying off the CS force. Good luck.

you're right you will always be a cs because you can't sell or bring value to a territory that is why you went back to pharma once a pharma rep always a pharma rep. bring those cup cakes to the office
