You're right, collectively, Covidien doesn't care about its reps. Covidien cares about increasing profits for it's shareholders, as is their responsibility by law. Do yourself a favor and look out for #1. Don't think for a minute that your RM and/or AVP won't shit-can your ass in a hearbeat if they're told to...it's all about "right-sizing" the sales organization.
If Schiffl is gone, good for him. He had a good run and probably found a better gig. I know for sure he wasn't expecting a thank you note.
