SCG

The problem with Ethicon is your field sales leaders rely on contracting to sell the products. Most of the field sales team does not have solid relationships with the clinicians and cannot drive the business. I think we will see more spine and recon reps covering your bag in the future. Don't mean to be a DB, but that is the way it's heading...

I really can't see a Depuy rep nor should they be selling something like a Harmonic but your right with the relationship part unless your tenured and have been there for years. I could see the spine reps selling Surgiflo or at least getting comped on it like with suture and dermabond.

SCG is lead by recycled jnj shit. I am sure there is zero chance for success - especially with the customer solutions. What value do/will they bring? Nothing. Just more empty promised with more headaches to unravel. No thanks n

Customer Solutions? Are you saying there are customer solutions within SCG group? And why would you say this about it?

Yes - there is currently plans for a customer solutions team along with account management/comtracting. They will bring innovative solutions to the market that will enable us to serve more as a business partner with our customer rather than just a transactional relationship. I am not sure why someone thinks this will fail.

Probably because is has been tried many, many, times before without success. Hospitals are not interested in innovative solutions as a substitute for better pricing. They want the cheapest product unless your product adds real value over and above what the competition has to offer. Entire companies were created in the past to offer "innovative solutions" as a competitive advantage....they no longer exist.
