sanofi looking to buy 2 US eye care companies

Read on Reuters that Sanofi is looking to purchase 2 US eye companies and one in Israel within the next three years. I am guessing one may be Bausch. Since there is Allergan, Ista, Inspire (also owned by WP), and us. Since alcon is now Novartis and I doubt Merck would sell their Ophthalmology pipeline...I'm going to guess we are one of them.

Looking is not the same thing as Buying. Once they kick the tires and find out the price they may look elsewhere.

The report said they have 1 billion Euros to spend. Since WP purchased B+L for 3 billion they could only buy 1/3 of B+L.

there are a number of smaller device companies making a name for themselves, ie Optovue, Diopsys

Akorn Pharmaceuticals ophthamic line. They have branded and generic. US based/publicly held. Stock has done very well over the past 2 years. US company with new RD segment.
