Sanofi Contract New Hire Training

I am scheduled to start home study on June 24th and secondary training between Aug. 5-Aug. 15. Can anybody help me with a few questions? First, how long is home study and will I actually be sitting at home in front of my computer for this training or will some of it be in the field too? Second, where does Sanofi typically send you for secondary training? Do they send you home for the weekend? Finally, what should I expect from the training? This is my first pharma position, so I am completely in the dark. The answers I get from Ventiv are cryptic at best on these questions...lol. Thanks.

every contract is different with training-you will get the questions answered from Ventiv, but sometimes they do not know the answers until closer to the start date....

Hey guys. Starting on the Sanofi contract next week and was going to get some new clothes.... Is Sanofi/Inventiv a suit always kinda company or am I good with shirt and tie? Live in the south and hot as hell down here. Just curious. Thanks

Why didn't you ask the questions when they offered you the job? I'm not trying to be rude, but seems to me like those are questions you should be asking your manager and not finding out on cafepharma..

I don't think it's overly important... Just curious which is why I ask on cafepharma. Not exactly an interview question and I don't really have anyone to reach out to at this moment. Thanks

Training is always business casual. If you have a nice dress shirt and slacks, you really do not need a tie. Just look neat and professional.

In response to someone earlier who said they should have asked during the interview, the interview process is quick and going through it with a previous contract, very little was said. I was lucky and had a manager who helped me out with any questions but others weren't as lucky and had no clue.

Usually, you can just do dress pants and a button down during training and suits in the field. I haven't heard of them ever sending people home on the weekends but who knows. Home study for another contract was pretty easy, lots of tests but not bad.

Good Luck
