Samples Question

I used to be an employee of Ethicon but have been gone for quite a while (thankfully). I came across a bunch of current samples laying around in my office. Are we able to sell those directly or online, or is that against the law? I know I will get the typical smart-arse response, but if anyone has actually done this let me know.

Samples of what? Does it have an expiration date? Regardless, generally the answer is no. There's potential lot code issues, liability, etc. Who's to say that there wasnt damage done to the product while it was in your hands? No reputable hospital/ASC in this country is going to put their a$$ on the line to save a few bucks.

Cool, thank you for the replies. I would not try to sell on the hospital, rather other sources. For example, there are products on ebay, some of which are getting good bidding action. All products are active (not expired) and I am tired of them sitting around in my office.

Unfortunately bribing would do me little good; as I left the industry completely, not even working with anything medical any longer. I am not a manager of a start-up selling SAAS, and my base is more than I made at Ethicon each of the last 3 years (and I was in the top 25% every year). IMO, med device is a sinking ship for 80% of the reps out there. I simply got tired of the BS.
