Haven't heard anything. I do know their Xifaxan is a big seller and about to get the IBS indication that my docs say is beyond huge. They also have Uceris which my Gastro's say works great.

A Salix guy was showing their new foam drug to one of my gastro's while I was setting up my lunch. He was smooth, professional, and knew his stuff. He asked me numerous times as to making sure he would be gone before my lunch arrived. When he was done he thanked me and introduced himself. Apologized again. Wish he was my partner. Seem like a strong company. I read up on them, they have some other stuff to. Prep and aids drug I think.
 












Hospital team is pretty strong and experienced team-40 reps. Most of the team calling on gastro/heps strong too. Primary care team is very inexperienced/a lot of enterprise, att, or small unknown pharma company experience/. That team gets ass whipped by inexperienced mgrs who didn't work before and are afraid to get burned. U could dump this team or overhaul it unless IBS indication comes. It's very sample heavy like your Ranexa team. Xifaxan makes this company. Other products are good, just small population treated-very disease specific.

Funny, I asked some of my GIs about Salix and they said that by far they are one of the most unethical companies out there. Actively promoting Xifaxan off label for IBS, and paying off many of their speakers by doing dummy programs is a short list of offenses. Buying this company would be detrimental to our reputation unless we totally cleaned house.

Why would we care about why a CEO stepped down? Or how unprofessional or professional they are? IF (if and its a big if) we ever bought them it would be for the products not anything else.

More products that have high margins are always good. I imagine we would get rid of the majority of the people that came with it.

Really? He is in the minority since Salix was named the #1 company by gastroenterologists for the fourth year in a row in 2014.

What's wrong. Don't like the truth? Salix is a very good company with great products. The specialists we call on actually like Salix. I know that doesn't fit your narrative, the one where we are all horrible and low rent, but it's a fact that Salix is well regarded in GI and Hep. I hope Gilead doesn't buy us. You guys seem arrogant. Get over yourself. You are Pharma reps whether you like it or not.
