SALES REPS IN THE WILD: A SPECIES DESTINED TO DIE?

The funniest thing about the video is not the comments itself but the fact that 4 reps are calling on the same doctor with the same products. This over expansion has put us in the position that we as an industry are in.

If one rep is good for business, having four must be better. As a result, no see doctors, lack of new products, and three unemployed reps. Gotta love the business model.

5 years ago we would laugh at the thought of working for a CSO. Now if you want to stay in the industry many are fighting for one of these positions.

What did you do 5 years ago to prepare for the eventually lay off from your job? If you did not see this coming you are blind. Over Xmas break you need to plan for your future because the writing is on the wall. Even if you remain a rep will it become an hourly job which results in 50% of the current pay. When my peers worked early morning programs and late nights, I created a business during those hours that produces enough money to support my family if the get laid off. There are opportunities. Don't wait.

Why? Aren't you smart enough to figure out what needs to be done post drug-rep life? This is probably the reason you will get stuck with no alternative if/when the time axe falls.
Lazy minds, lazy reps.
