What is the salary like for EP now ? Would you Recc this job?
How does business look for EP or Endo for '13?
I saw openings and wanted to know what the total comp plan is coming w exp in MD&D?
Any help about pay is very helpful if u can be so kind as to help a fellow out ?
 






Run away - there has been so much change - you should run - comp with any sales/device job depends on your territory, contracts, and how good of a sales person you are.
Wait 2 more years before joining JNJ there will be more changes - run....

This is a great question! I say this very sarcastically because we have no idea what the pay is going to be. Should find out soon and that would be the reason for more openings becoming available.

"great question anon....well folks, i will try and take a deep dive into the compensation plan as well as the bridge compensation plan...which as of today..is being carefully looked at by analytics with cooperation from your existing divisional managers....we will as a company...ethicon surgical care...which will fufill our mission of having more ethicon products...in more surgeries ...being used on more patients...laying off more quality employees..getting crushed by intuitive and covidien....blowing multiple puffs of smoke up our reps asses...telling our customers "we did it for them" ....talking like a 78 year old grandpa to our reps....did i answer your question?? All Endo reps will be taking a 15% reduction in base pay while Inc. reps will take a 15% increase in base. All targeted bonuses will also be reduced by 20%, but will have different levels based on titles. J&J wants all medical sales reps' compensation to be similar across all companies to include pharmaceuticals and consumer. No more "commissions" just bonuses. We will not be called sales reps anymore. This is the big news corporate will be releasing in 2013 to the media.

this is false. Ethicon Inc reps salary starts at $45,000. People that have been with the company 5 years on average have a salary of $52,000. So, I highly doubt that they would move a salary to below $45,000. Endo salaries have always been high and commission been low. Inc reps plan is around 95K-comp at plan with a total of around $150K mostly being variable compensation. I have worked with Inc for 6 years and I do NOT see them dropping salary that much. I see higher salary and lower commissions more like endo and pharma has.

Reread the posting, it said Inc. salaries would go up and Endo go down. Makes sense

This isn't true...
DMs received an outline of the comp this week..the base and variable comp varies based on role. The new HBT role is designed to have the opportunity for the highest earnings of the three roles due to more variable comp. The lowest paying of the three roles is the territory lead as this role has bonuses instead of commissions

I am a DM. Territory Leads if from Endo will take a cut. HBT reps have more geography & products will also take a hit. HBT will not have as much control of cumo due to mechanical side of the business

Are you talking strictly salary? Because TL from Inc made more in their legacy roles than new TLs from endo. So you must be just talking salary when you say TL from endo are the ones taking a cut right?

This is great. I totally agree. Run away FAST and don't look back. The lucky ones are the ones who got severed. Shit. Which that was me.
