So what's the consensus on the reduction of salary for those high paid TX reps! And all the other poor souls who were able to sell and now are being penalized!
word on the street was November and December were Hawthorn's best months ever.
Best month? You're talking out of your ass. Learn how to pull your reports and not make yourself look stupid.
Oh my, I can't believe it! They started taking base salary increases away now?? That's So not what they used to do a while back. As a matter of fact it was a selling point in interviews that once you got your base up you never lost it. They also took back commissions on some products at one point and they told everybody that you would get paid on everything from day one even if not promoted anymore. Lies lies. If anyone were smart they would sign paperwork defining how they get paid on the commission structure before taking this job. Otherwise they will pull the rig out from under you when it is better for them. It's a shame because hawthorn has had great people come through there and do well and they cannot retain any talent that in the long run is great for the company because the policy changes every 8 months to year.....to benefit their bottom line at the expense of the rep hard work.

I am an old employee, so take this for what its worth....Max, Glenn and Jason have their own ideas about how to run business. Those guys are smart deligent and want things in the black and they have every right to. I have a lot of respect for all those dudes, because they treated me with a lot as well. I left, I had fun, it was a great experience for me, but when things like this start happening....then go find a job somewhere else. Don't complain and stay status quo. Bottom line, I got out of pharma almost 2.5 years ago for what I thought at the time was a better career option, and it didn't work out like I thought. You know I come here from time to time to look at what is going on here, because I did well here and there are some great people here, but you guys are the most bitchy, whiniest people I have ever heard on a board. Don't like, then it get out. Don't cry because a man has the right to run a business the way he wants. Just go.....My motto is if there is something that you want for you, your family and yourself....then go do it. Just saying....and no this ain't Chris Smith, although I do like him as well. Lynne, Kristy I hope you're well. Miss you guys. Vanilla.....
Max no longer controls the company like in the past. There is a board now that has a lot of control. What is wrong with some people at Hawthorn is how they treat everyone. It is not equal or on a level playing field, if you are a kiss up, and or a Good ole boy then you are in, if you are a woman or don't ass kiss then you are not among the elite. Look at Bill Mills, he was hired as a DM from being a rep who was able to sell Exall. From what I understand from his reps (because they all call me for help) he sucks as a manager, he doesn't help his reps, he doesn't know how to do his job, he calls out sick when he is supposed to ride with a rep )a lot), he doesn't do his job like writing up FDR's or Coaching guides and he should know how to do this since he was a Field sales trainer yet Chris hired him and has kept him. That is one example of how they work. They run off good reps yet keep the ass kissers and the reps who don't work. It's ashame, Hawthorn could be a good company!!
