Salary for surgical reps

I was told base salary was $75-$77K and the commissions was $5K per year. Is that correct? I was called for a phone interview but if that's the commissions then Its definitely not worth the time.

More than likely. Cook pays nothing, micromanages their employees, gets away with shady behavior and tries to sell new hires on quality of life. The reality is you work just as hard as you would for a job that pays a decent salary and commission and treats you like a human being.

It probably is true. The company is a joke. You will however….get to go to French Lick Indiana every year for your sales meeting and eat the worst food in the entire country. RUN while you can

True which is why we all need to be smart about it. They sell us on quality of life! Ok then; go home at a decent time and whatever didn't get done today do it the next day. Work according to your pay. Don't stress and spend more time with your family and friends. An eye for eye and a tooth for a tooth.

That may be easy in some DM roles but when you have a micromanaging manager that makes you turn in a daily report, it's not so easy. There's a reason why management never changes. It's because they only promote the koolaid drinkers and NEVER bring in any fresh ideas or people from outside of Cook. So continuously under pay the DMs while the managers pretend to work and collect AMEX and hotel points. It's an amazing business plan. What a joke.
