Salary for sales reps?

I saw a job posting for a sales rep with a listed salary of $65k. Is that just base? What’s a realistic bonus to expect? Why do other companies like Lincare and PSS have salaries of $22k? How can they compete with Rotech?

Ok very good question, our base pay is in line with our competitors, but the promised commissions are not as real, If you are in secondary market, run away as its not to happen. If you have a very strong location manager and a long term staff you have a chance to get close to those pipe dream numbers. In a metro area, chances are also good. However if you are in a state where insurances are lost, to LinCare or others, by their aggressive contract team. You don't have a chance, My advice is to go to a couple of local hospitals and ask the planners about service, insurance accepted and general contact with staff. Good luck,

Wow! An honest, helpful, meaningful post. I’m shocked and pleasantly surprised, Thanks for the insight!

Run. This place has a horrible reputation, lazy management and staff. Base pay is 35-37k plus horrible bonus. The best sales people in the world couldnt sell out of the black hole of Rotech.
