Unless you're well connected and can make some nice coin in the short term...run...run away fast from this company and don't look back! This is no destination for a career. They are looking to sell this sinking ship the first opportunity that comes up.

Thanks.. looking to break into medical device and this seems like a good opportunity to get into the OR. If it's that bad I'll leave in 2 yrs

But again...salary range etc etc. I don't need warnings...just earnings

Thanks

So no base, 100% commission

No company car/ car allowance

No budget for lunches with drs etc

Seems a bit much

No one would work there if that was the case
There are better ways to break in to Device and Operating Room sales. Conmed (Linvatec) is not the answer. The management team is unethical and they will make a bunch of promises. You will have to do a lot of explaining once you decide to leave this company if this is your first job in device sales. Take a look at the Conmed website and ask yourself "what products does Conmed dominate with in sports medicine?" Nothing.

What companies would be good ones to break in with?

I'm sincerely asking and forward thank you for your honest answers

Cardinal Health of Dublin Ohio buying the $2.3 Billion Medtronic Medical Supplies Business for $6.1 Billion. The Supplies Business is the old Kendall/Covidian high vol disposable business.

Conmed did away with salaries when Kurt convinced BOD that if they acted like Stryker the stock would perform like Stryker, BUT he forgot to tell the BOD that Conmed doesn't have the products that Stryker has!

This!
So much yes!
I predict company will be sold within 2 years, massive layoffs, and then improvement.
