Runzheimer sucks!

This explains the problem using simple terms. $500-700 will pay your car note but it will not compensate for depreciation due to high mileage. .23cent/mile will pay for your gas but will not cover maintenance.

Did someone really make 50k in mileage? If that's true there was a failure on so many levels. DM, RM, accounting. Wtf

OK Mr. Accountant,

I have another question for you about sales numbers....

CFO Greg Schiffman said the following on February 27, 2012 when discussing Quarter 4 2011 results and the impact it would have on Quarter 1 2012 results.

"As we indicated in January, our December numbers were higher than expected and we believe our customers accelerated some January business into December, probably to the tune of $2 million to $3 million.

As I took a closer look at the fourth quarter, I believe this is a result of certain end-of-the-year factors such as patient deductibles and a desire by customers to have patients treated prior to the January updates in some of the health plans, and also a desire by our patients to have their treatment completed by the holidays. This resulted in the pull through of some of our January sales into December through tighter scheduling of infusions."

Do you know if a CFO would should know the exact amount of January business that was accelerated into December or was this 2M to 3M range with a 1M variance something that would be considered normal?

The amount that was accelerated is a certain number of patients multiplied by 93,000. Shouldn't the CFO know the number of patients that were January patients that were pulled in December through tighter scheduling of infusions?

It's very difficult to figure out potential sales numbers for Quarter 1 2013 without having a good understanding of company practices in prior years. People everywhere are saying they don't know what to expect for Quarter 1 2013 because of what happened last year. People are on the sidelines not knowing what to expect. Why do they even do these preannouncements? All it does is raise questions and it tells people nothing. Last year the company made a huge run on the preannouncement and it was a lot lower when the full story came out. Why would they do this partial disclosure again this year?

The answer to this question about the $2-$3 million range would be very helpful. I always thought it was just a certain number of patients and they would know how many patients were accelerated from Quarter 1 2012 to Quarter 4 2011.

TIA

It is a pretty good deal. $6k to $8.4k a year plus say another $4k to $5k a year for mileage per year (at around 20,000 miles per year) equals $10 to $13k per a year they pay us for a car we paid $20k to $25K for. So they pay for your car in 2 years, plus you get use of a car for personal reasons.

That 20k miles is business miles. They are supposed to pay for that. Personal mileage is a good perk but dont forget your paycheck is supposed to get grossed up for personal miles so you pay taxes on that benefit. Don't think this is as good as it sounds from the limited facts.
