This could be any DM from anywhere in the country. Let's see... treat sales people well and pay them well> sales are great. Cut sales peoples pay and treat them like dirt with no job security> sales go down. Based on these comments it looks like sales will continue to drop. One reason; if you threaten sales peoples security (when they are working hard but faced with challenges that are rarely communicated up) they spend their time looking for another job. Not trying to win in a win-less scenario. Look at the DMs that continually mess with numbers to make the favorites, who don't work, win. Your worker bees are leaving and there is nothing you can do now. The end is inevitable. Upper management never did a spot check from the field and bought the corruption.Let your DM flap all day long. In the end it will be the same. Get out now.
I think we are very secure here. Rob said on the quest call that our jobs are safe. Marti and Logan say the same. If anything we will be adding headcount. The Simponi team is a great example. I hear that bob Russell took a losing academic team and turned them into winners. I have to imagine that he'll do the same with Simponi and then more hires. Have faith in these people. They are in their positions because they are the best and brightest business minds.
We are very fortunate to have these leaders. They could be runng other companies like Apple or Microsoft or Exxon and instead they keep their talents here. They are the reason we are the best sales force in corporate America. Marti's dedication to the Oz factor will make us even greater.

The Simponi team is a great example on how to not hit a number! Secondly, Bob drove the academic sales force into the ground, and virtual non-existence. You may think he is a great leader becasue he wins President's Club every year. It is impossible not to win when you are 1 of 1 eligible winners. You could put a monkey in that job, and the monkey would have multiple p-club wins too. Bob, congratulations on your 2012, 2013, and 2014 wins. I am not sure if your sales force will still be in tact beyond that. If so, congratulations on those future wins too.
From everything a lot of us witnessed, he decimated and demoralized that team. Every rep or manager that had a chance to flee did. People want to work for managers they can respect and learn from. The problem now is that the sales force is more leadership capable than management. We're not in Kansas, anymore, Dorothy.
