RTAM - are they on every contract?

I'm interviewing for a contract position with a small pharma company; I've never worked contract, and was told by someone that there is an RTAM on their contract(different from the one I'm interviewing for). My question is, do all contracts have RTAMs? What is the difference between the RTAM and a DM? I'm interviewing with the DM, but not the RTAM, so I'm a little confused.

Depending on the contract, you might have an RTAM, an ERM or Just a DM - If you are on a contract that has a DM and an RTAM - most likely the DM is directly from the client, and the RTAM is from inVentiv. The DM will give you instruction on the product, and sales, while the RTAM is there to assist with development, quarterly reviews, tracking vacation/sick time, payroll issues, address/payrate changes, and other functions that pertain to your employment with inVentiv. Because the DM is directly from the client, and the RTAM takes a supporting role on the inVentiv side, it would make sense that you would interview with the DM but not the RTAM.
