RSU and Shire Savings Plan Question

Does this mean when the deal closes you would receive the stock price on the RSU's plus 31%? and they would add some 31 bucks extra per share of the stock purchasing plan?

Are you seriously joking? “You would get $30 per share and lose $130.” You could quite possibly be the stupidest person/comment I have ever seen & read on this site, literally.
For all you inept Econ 101 individuals, the offer (if you keep your company stock prior to close of sale which being Takeda is a Japanese based company there may be foreign tax implications) for every share of SHPG ADR (That’s shire’s stock symbol and AmericanDepositoryRecipts) you will receive $30.33 in cash and 0.839 of a Takeda shares for each Shire share. Currently, our future owners stock trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (That’s in Japan) at around $20.52 USD. If your brain hurts, well then that may explain a lot. You’re welcome too.

Chill out. You need to get laid. Must be rough going a few years. Getting your hand pregnant doesn't count.

That’s funny you would associate someone’s sex life with the sole fact that anyone who actually believes what was written is accurate is a bit alarming. I got laid last night though however I appreciate your empty concern. Hope your vibrator comes out smoother than your current sales results....pretty rough.

each ADR is 3 shire london listed stock.

you people work for this company and you don't even know the stock structure? And I thought Flem was the stupid one.

We went through this when Shire bought Baxalta. We got cash and had a choice of the European Shire shares OR Shire ADS, which are listed on NASDAQ. It was suggested we take the ADS shares. It appears the same thing will happen here with Takeda. See below, from Seeking Alpha.

Update
: The deal is $30.33 in cash plus 0.839 of a new Takeda share or 1.678 Takeda ADSs. The transaction should close in H1 2019. Takeda will own ~50% of the combined company.

why would anyone want to trade some $30 a stock and lose $130. Isn't the $30 above the $160 you already own so you're walking away with approximately $190 that you are cashing out?

This thread demonstrates that sales reps are puppets and only capable of regurgitating talking points provided to them. "Math hard, reading tough... we make deal no good to same shareholders that have to vote on deal? - that no sense."

do you cash outl stock first at 165 (if that were the date) and then they give you an extra 30. Is that how it works?

You will get cash plus some Takeda share for each Shire share. See below.
