RP emails

I haven't been with this company that long but I am compelled to comment after receiving that email message from RP. It may seem petty but it speaks to a lack of professionalism that we are getting a message titled Quality Patient Care in which he clearly has no regard for quality communication with his team. How can this guy who can't write, can't spell and obviously doesn't even proofread his messages be our National Sales Director? How embarrassing for him. For someone who claims to read all the time it would be unbelievably difficult to make these mistakes if you read on a regular basis. He has the writing skills of a fifth grader at best. For an email with only about five sentences, the mistakes were unbelievable. Someone out there, please explain!

oh you haven't seen anything yet! he once wrote that children "suffer from literacy." if he was in any way literate he would have written 'illiteracy' and it still wouldn't have made any sense. it's typically written that children suffer from maladies such as malnourishment, poverty, etc, not illiteracy, let alone literacy!

wow...yeah you haven't been with the company very long, and that's obvious. I have been here a LOT longer than you, and can tell you without a doubt that, despite grammar errors, RP is a decent man that tries to be as fair as possible. Oh and btw, since you are so new, you should know a majority of his emails are sent from mobile devices (blackberry, now iphones), and probably in a hurry b/c he has a ton to do. I don't hear you complaining about his decision to scrap Q1 quotas b/c they were unreasonable and unfair, and implement a new system that will be more realistic....nope, instead we get some rant from a newbie about his "lack of professionalism" b/c he makes grammatical errors every once in a while. My advice, newb, shut your mouth until you know the man and what he's about. Of all the people to complain about in this company, you choose RP, one of the best guys around....classy

oh and my point about emails from mobile devices is this, in case you don't understand; it's damn hard to bang out a quick email from anything smaller than a computer without making mistakes. You try it....and did you not understand what he was trying to say?? did those grammar errors make the email unreadable and confuse you? didn't think so.

I would agree with last person. You OBVIOUSLY haven't been here for that long because we are extremely fortunate to have RP as our national sales director. He has a long history of doing what is right.

I READ THIS THREAD AND HAVE TO COMMENT. HEY, I LIKE RP AND HIS GENEROSITY AS MUCH AS THE NEXT GUY BUT I HAVE TO AGREE WITH NEWBIE. IT'S HONORABLE THAT YOU ARE ALL CREATING A DIVERSION AND DEFENDING HIS CHARACTER YET YOU FAIL TO ADDRESS THE BIG ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. I'VE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY AND IN THE INDUSTRY LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT

NOT EVEN AN ENTRY LEVEL MANAGER WOULD BE SENDING OUT THOSE EMAILS FILLED WITH HORRENDOUS MISTAKES. SORRY, BANGING OUT A MESSAGE FROM A BLACKBERRY WOULD LOOK DIFFERENT WHEN RECEIVED NOT TO MENTION THOSE DEVICES AUTO-CORRECT WHICH MEANS THAT HE WOULD THEN CHANGE IT BACK TO THE INITIAL MISTAKES WHICH IS EVEN WORSE. SUGGESTING BEING TOO BUSY TO PROOFREAD OR CARE ABOUT ACCURACY JUST ISN'T AN EXCUSE. IT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE IF IT WAS AN INFORMAL MESSAGE GOING OUT TO SOME, BUT AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE SENT TO THE ENTIRE TEAM THAT IS FILLED WITH OBVIOUS ERRORS IS INDEED EMBARRASSING. I MARVEL AT THE IRONY OF THE CLS BEING HELD TO A LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM AND ACCURACY. WE ALL KNOW RP'S ACTIONS ARE WELL INTENDED. I KNOW EVEN YOU RP DEFENDERS MUST HOPE LIKE HELL HE DOESN'T SEND ONE OF THOSE EMAILS OUT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IN THE FIELD.

JUST AS RP TOOK "FULL RESPONSIBILITY" FOR THE QUOTAS I BET HE'D TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE AGGREGIOUS ERRORS IN HIS EMAILS AND WOULDN'T BLAME IT ON SOMETHING ELSE. THE SAD PART IS THAT I THINK HE'S COMPLETELY UNAWARE.

hay their -
I can not be sertain, I think you missed spelled aggregious
GET A LIFE EVERYONE I've never been on this website but this is not what I expected. Can this thread be erased so as not to offend anyone?

No kidding!! I am so sure someone as perfect as these complainers have never spelled anything wrong!! Go get another job if this is all you have to complain about! Yes and delete this thread - unworthy!

Sorry. I don't feel that I'm complaining at all. I have to agree with the initial post. I felt the same way when I first joined this company. A certain level of professionalism is expected.

TYPING IN ALL CAPS REALLY MAKES MY POINT!!!!! Or it annoys the hell out of everyone....

Seriously? This is even a conversation? You people need to get a life if all you can complain about is RP's perceived lack of "professionalism" b/c his emails contain grammatical errors. You want lack of professionalism?? Look at some of the managers RB employs. Real, serious problems there. RP is one of the better people at RB Pharma.

"I haven't been here that long" means you don't know shit about who a person really is, what they've done for the company and employees professionally and personally (in certain circumstances, if someone needed help).....so shut up and go work. Be glad you have a job here. If you have a problem with a terrible manager, ok. If you have a problem with legitimate issues like quotas, possible generics coming, etc....REAL issues, ok I am fine with you complaining on here. But throwing RP under the bus for grammar of all things is just petty

Anality isn't what its cracked up to be. See Monica on Friends.

Where did that tight little sphincter get her? Shes a nervous miserable ninny and I suspect you are too.

I suggest you go sit on a suppository and try to learn to relax. There are far far more things to get excited about here. Just wait.

Yeah, fair...sure. (insert sarcasm). He really did right by us in Q4....Oh and by the way, I was able to write that with no spelling mistakes from my smart phone.

Well, genius, if you knew anything about corporate finances, you would know that it would be incredibly difficult to go back and change Q4 quotas after the fact. Yes, they sucked and were unattainable, but the best RB can do is redo Q1 to ensure everyone gets a better shot at making quota or exceeding it (which my guess is what will happen). They over-projected for sure, but to go back and rewrite history, so to speak, would throw off a lot of things financially. Once the books are closed (RB's fiscal year end is Dec 31st) it's a done deal. Yes, it wasn't fair, but RP is trying to make it right this year. It has happened before, if you've been around long enough...which a lot of you whiners have not.

and I agree this whole thread is in poor taste.

He is the National Field Sales Director and he cannot, for the life of him, send out a message that isn't littered with errors of all kinds. I call that poor taste! Call me petty but I wouldn't write a cover letter with the errors I see in his emails if I expected to be taken seriously.

There is one of many phony managers here, serious jokes. One in particular like to whine about spelling shit.Such a hypocrite. Beer chugging slob that he is. The only thing the fool does well. is piss and moan about spelling errors.

If you knew anything about other pharma companies, it is common practice (with the good companies at least), to make it right by their sales force when an error on thier part or data errors contributed to goal mistakes or bonus issues. There are other ways of fixing this issue to make it right. the new bonus plan does nothing to address this.
