Round 2 of cuts are on the way!

The Boston Group has contracted with an organization named ZS and Associates and they have targeted another 135 sales reps in the surgical solutions group consisting of emid, ebd, hernia and wc. The majority will roll out of emid all to happen before the end of q2. More may follow after that will all cuts to be complete within f13.

Precisely why so many are entertaining opportunities. Wspecially those in the Emid group. Thi is all by design.

I heard something very similar from my avp. Precisely why I am in the interview process with other companies. You should be also.

I would love to see us zig just when everyone expects us to zag. JNJ is re-structuring and cutting deep with the confidence that we will be going through the same type of turmoil with layoffs and realignments.

What a coup it would be if we abandoned these plans and hit them hard while they are in disarray! The COT strategy is A good one and the new product alignments are solid but, there is a clear and present opportunity to strike hard and swiftly. I hope that Hanson & Co. see this. Change for the future is inevitable but more than half of our business is still steeped in relationships and trust. We are in a unique position to take share NOW!

Let's seize the opportunity that is present and be bold enough to do the unexpected.

Seriously???!!! The above post is a complete douche. Yeah, I am sure that Covidien will strike hard and drive real value in this commodity ridden space. This company is as nimble as a bowl of cold molasses. Face it, all companies are trimming fat before 2013. It is inevitable.

You should include this idea in your letter to Santa this Christmas!

How exactly does one take share on business that is mainly "me too" products and is driven by contracts? Do you think that HPG or MedAssets is going to do a 180 and allow our products into their facilities? Highly doubtful.

We are about to go through what JNJ is currrently doing to their sales force...heavy layoffs. Get ready. We would like to think that we are different than JNJ but honestly, you could switch the names and no one would notice because both companies are almost mirror images in how they do business.

You should have done yor zigging and zagging when upper management served you the koolaid during your initial training. Now they're about to violate you with extreme prejudice when they ram the ole layoff pole up your arse....best be looking for other opportunities! ...Jack Handy

Really!?! You must have gotten a heavy dose of koolaid! What you should be asking yourself is why oh why didn't I take the blue pill! What a crock, wake up and realize that we are all just numbers on a board!
