This whole HCR repeal rollout isn't going so well for the GOP:

So tired of the same ridiculous arguments. A government employee has employer provided healthcare. So do I. So do over 80% of Americans. So to repeal their healthcare is NOT the same as repealing the ridiculous monstrosity passed last year. To repeal their healthcare would be akin to repealing all employer provided health care - you know, odummy's plan.
nothing wrong with having it provided by the employer but they should pay 4 it if theyre so against it 4 every1 else
What percent of the employer covered medical insurance do you think most people pay?
The national average is closer to about 30% of the bill being paid by the employee. BTW, they are not against anyone getting medical insurance through their employer - just like they do. But why should you get my plan if you are working somewhere else? This is part of my overall compensation package --- and theirs. It's not something they are getting for nothing like what entitlement programs do.
It's still part of their overall package. Their salaries are quite modest. The government, their employer, paid between 72 and 75% of their coverage in 2009. So they pay the same share as people in the private sector.
I double checked and you are right - they earn around $175,000 a year. I guess i was thinking about their higher pay often earn when they are done.
