Astellas Wins FDA Panel Backing for Overactive Bladder Drug - Bloomberg 50 minutes ago
Aren't all the OAB meds generic now? This is like a new migraine drug coming to market. No need. What are this drug's $ expectations?
What will the managed care situation look like? You can get those generics for next to nothing. What is the statistical difference with this new drug? Unless you have a few docs in your territory who are speakers, this drug will tank. Doc's think all these OAB meds do the same. Ask a few folks who worked for Pfizer(Detrol and LA) JNJ(Ditropan XL) that now work for your company. Urologists consider these drugs all the same. Get them speaking gigs and your territory will do ok. If not, managed care will not be kind to this product.
You know nothing!!! GU's never heard of beta 3. They'll be real interested Been there, done that.
I have over 20 years calling on Uros, launched Ditropan XL and Sanctura. Uros will roll their eyes when you present this and show them a study with a small statistical advantage. Primary care that writes 70% of market will care even less. As far as managed care it is simple -step therapy-if you fail on 2 generics you can submit a PA -that will not happen. OAB is a nuisance not a life theratening disease. Oh and lets not forget it will have side effects.
If you don't like your job why don't you go sell some hot dogs, honestly doubt you could sell those anyways. Go back to sucking or go back to Enterprise rental cars and check my car for dents bitch. BTW I didn't fill the tank.
It's exactly this type of mindless crap that has us in this mess. The previous poster makes some valid points abt market, Uro perception, and expectations and all you can contribute is juvenile garbage. Go back to your big pharma pod selling job where you deliver Starbucks to 2 offices a day and call it working. We don't want you here. The grown ups are taking the company back.
It was an over the top jab at the crappy attitude about true innovation in our marketplace. So the point is that this drug has the ability to change the market and give millions of patients a new shot at treating their disease. Anyone that trivializes incontinence as a lifestyle disease is just a heartless piece of shit. Here's the point you've obviously missed.....if you don't want to be part of this then please leave and do something else. Sell hotdogs or rent cars, but don't stand in the way of helping millions of people cope with this disease and regain any sense of dignity and a decent life. So if you're against that hen buh bye!

and what exactly is your title in the marketing dept? Has anyone ever died from incontinence? Be honest when ditropan xl launched we told everyone urinating more than 15 time a day was OAB, now it is anyone that goes more than 8-10. Please anyone that drinks anything with caffiene or 8 glasses of water goes more than 8 times a day. It is a small market that pharma has attempted to expand, and finally about 90% of OAB patients can be treated with behavior modification-just ask Uros. In most of the world that is the first step in treatment-no drugs until 6 months of behavior modification. Change the market and give millions of patients blah, blah blah What a bunch of marketing crap!!

Love that marketing crap. It puts food on my table and pays my bills. You must be my miserable specialty counterpart If you're such a cynic about what we do move along to something more meaningful for you. If you plan on sticking around then bust your ass like the rest of us and shut the F-up.
Busting your ass and pharma sales do not belong in the same sentence. Working from 9-3, bringing in a lunch the providers don't attend, sitting around in a waiting room reading magazines, getting a signature for samples and doing some mindless paperwork is not busting your ass. Get a real job like medical where you actually have to sell-Oh thats right medical sales will not hire ex pharma-HMMMMMM I wonder why? That has to hurt!!

Hurt? Only for you busting your medical sales ass while we get our 6 figure "busting" our asses our way. Keep up your hard work your way. Enjoying life here!
