I keep hearing that quite a few people in Roche, especially in Basel, are connected to the Roche family by blood or by marriage. Also that many of these people are not that competent and had it not been for the connection would be long gone.

Is this the case? Any insights?

What a dumb question! How would anyone on this board know this, including you. Stop spreading dumb gossip.
 






Actually not a bad question by the OP. I know of 2 such people and he's right, everyone knows they are dead wood but they'll never be canned because they are both married into the family. Like no one can touch them.

I am not a "lowly rep", have enough dealings with global to have an opinion and to her rumblings.

if you are a rep or dm, you are far too low on the totem pole to speak on this subject. How would you know whether someone in basel is "competent". Please stop the gossip and start working on your plan b.

You obviously can't read. The person wrote that he (or she) is NOT a rep. You sure are defensive, says a lot about you.

No, you are the one who cant read, as the poster never said that they were neither rep nor DM. I am also not being defensive, I am though critical of people who post malarkey and gossip about things which they no nothing about. If you are going to gossip about such things, name names, and give examples. Dont just make nebulous comments. For example, I could easily say that "based on my knowledge, 95% of reps are lazy thieves." This obviously would be a rediculous comment, without any backup data provided.
 






Dave Loew in Basel is connected to the Roche family and is untouchable. No US experience, not an extensive commercial resume (oh yeah, headed Switzerleand business unit where there were two oncology reps and no reimbursement issues) and mysteriously climbed the Roche ranks very quickly.

Even Pascal kisses his ass.

Cronyism is alive and well...its a family owned company!
 






I believe there is a board member who is related to the Cortell "Family" Laroche, Oeri, he is a physician.
If anyone anywhere believes they are actually not working for the mafia, they are in denial. Roche and the thug families who owns it are basically pimps. Hoffman La Roche were fined by the EU for nearly a billion and were involved in price fixing and are still involved in Fraud on a global basis, including the United States.
A Zebra does not change it stripes, a "healthcare company " involved in fraud and price fixing? what a joke. This is mafia we work for.
 






Much of the Roche Holdongs board is family as it should be because they own this privately held company. most board members earn 200, 000 to 300,000 the big earner was franz Humer 15,000,000-

Get over yourselves. Who pays your salary.
Roche is not going aay.
GNE would ot be where it is without their Investment in the 90's.
All Roche did was exercise their right to get control of what they built.
Dont bite the hand that feeds you.
 






You guys need to look at the Big Picture. Roche Group runs many different industries, they also own banks to launder money and hide earnings. Most of the big decisions are made in Switzerland as with other corrupt global companies, including terrorist funded groups.
Hoffman La Roche, Genentech, Roche diagnostics and many other criminal corporations are all run by a Board of Directors, who are mostly composed of members of the corrupt Oeri, Hoffman families. They could care less about healtcare or America, they just want to abuse our healtcare system for profit. You get it ? Money.
These type of individuals will do anything for money , inluding starting media reports of fictitious flu in order to sell their poisons.
The company needs to be closed down from operating in the United States.
More patients will live by this action then would benefit by their drugs that do not cure any disease.

You're just trying to find another venue to bash Roche. its a family owned company, what do you expect. Stop making a mountain out of mole hill. These "incompetents" brought Genetentech--maybe they're not that incompetent.

You're part of the Roche family--accept it!
