What percent of the Ligasure business in the US comes from GYN, urologic, and nephrologic surgery? I'm figuring that's the business most exposed to the robot's new vessel sealer?
NAH I would be more worried about what Gyrus has . the rep was in one of my shops last week and i saw the video he was showing the doc . he didn't know who I was ..... Looked good. He was talking about the speed of harmonic and the sealing of advance all in one tool.

Ligasure sales equally distributed between colorectal and gyn. Intuitive targeting primarily GYN to begin with. Many GYN's want to using vessel sealing via the robot versus having assistant using Ligasure at bedside.
Very little Ligasure (relative to GYN/Colorectal) in urology except for cystectomy and nephrectomy. Nerve sparing prostatectomy (the big urology market owned by Intuitive) does not use vessel sealing- more blunt dissection.
Ligasure 5 lap product (their workhorse) sells for about $500.00 ea on contract.
Why, because there is a Gyrus arm for the davinci? ACMI gets no revenue from the endowrist gyrus instrument, just the upfront capital sale for the orange POS box. Not sure I would call that a partnership.
