Yoy are mis-stating the facts of the segment. Its not that the patients insurance was NOT accepted, as it WAS! The patient simply had a bare bones insurance plan that neither covered much of the medical serbices needed, including Rituxan. To make things worse, the hospital billed the patient 13,000 for the treatments, when they were only paying about 3,500.
Im sorry, but if you were paying attention, and not fabricating to suit your own point of view, you would have to admit that the segment itself was not even about the cost of Rituxan; it WAS however about the the policy of hospitals greatly inflatable the costs of rooms, beds, medicines, etc and gouging the patients.
This story had NOTHING to do with Roche, and everything to do with MD Anderson, ripping off the patient and the outrageous markups across the board. NICE TRY THOUGH!
