It’s called what the fuck do they do otherwise. I am in Oncology and all the east coast FLLs are awful. They do nothing so this is what they fill the time with. I’ve seen some some of them
Sell and it is laughable.

My FLL rode in the car with me last week (VBU). Tbh I don’t care as we’re both vaccinated. At the end of the day I’m out eating with friends and enjoying life so this isn’t a big deal to me. Hell most of my HCPs and staff are going to dinner programs again(for both GSK and others)

Ride alongs. What a joke- an ancient practice.
Jut pay people on their sales numbers.
If they suck they can reach out for development and try to get better if they want.
When the numbers don't improve simply let them go.
Make this practice clear when they sign up for employment with us.
This will never happen, so if you really want to sell and make money- leave. I just gave my notice- thank god

Let me guess- you are in the West area. Lol. Keep dragging people that have no impact, to programs and doing work contacts that don’t do anything but let an FLL micromanage you. Sounds like a blast.

Yes I am in the west. While I agree it’s a waste of time, if it keeps my boss happy and I get to continue collecting a pretty nice paycheck for working 4 hours a day, I’ll take it!

Ridealong visits to customers’ offices are totally useless. Through the years, Doctors and their staff have said these Rep visits with their managers do not help them nor their patients and are a total waste of their time as well as a source of distraction for them in focusing on patient care. They have even added STEM ridealongs which are total waste of time. I have done this STEM ridealong as well and even the STEM manager signified to me in many ways that he was just going through the motions to do the job. Still, the company continue to do these ridealongs and probably hoping to get better results sometime, somehow, somewhere. Insanity!!!
