Considering an internal transition from a vaccine specialist for adult vaccines to a key account specialist role in rheumatology. I have never worked in the specialty space and know rheumatology is very competitive. My ultimate goal is to gain varied experience in different therapeutic areas but I don’t want to get in over my head. As experienced reps, what are the pros and cons of the rheumatology space? Is it worth the experience or will i be in an uphill battle constantly? Should i wait for another opportunity in a less crowded therapeutic area? Drug is IL6 inhibitor with new indication. Would love to hear your thoughts!
