He gives me the creeps and to hear him speak is beyond painful. I know there is a medical condition that is causing his voice to sound the way it does, though.

"They're not protecting our kids. Why do we have Fruit Loops in this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it's got two or three?" he said.

He's a dumbass. That's because we LABEL ALL the ingredients in food products sold here and Canada doesn't require manufacturers to list everything in a package of food. We fought long and hard to get everything on the labels and this nitwit will cut it all out. That may be why his throat is all fucked up.

You are either lying or are badly misinformed. There are certainly differences in additives and preservatives in US food vs the rest of the world.

If you ever get to a foreign country, pick up a box or a can of something that's available here too. Compare the labels. You'll see what I'm saying. We list additives that they don't. It doesn't mean we put additives in our foods that they don't, it means they don't LIST all the additives so you're buying blindfolded.
 






As a scientist I think it will be great to have someone as smart as him in charge. If there is valid science we don't have anything to worry about. If people are trying to cut corners to make money they should be worried. All the processed food manufacture people that decide what kind of crap our kids eat for school lunch sure won't have a job, but actual nutritionists who can make decisions based on the health needs of kids rather than where they make the most money will do well.
