RFK Confirmed, VBU Outlook

Welp, he’s our new health secretary. Medicaid and Medicare will most likely be slashed. We need leadership to communicate what’s next and how they will continue to fight for trust in vaccines. This (in my opinion) will result in layoffs, a drop in our stock price, and more importantly, less patients protected. I am not one to drink the GSK Kool-Aid. I’m really not. But I strongly believe in the importance of vaccines and I like having a job. Are there inherent problems with the vaccine industry? Sure. But RFK is going to do irreversible damage to the public’s trust in proven prevention. If you work in the VBU and aren’t outraged by this, then take a moment to ask yourself why you took this job in the first place. We don’t need people in the VBU who sympathizes with RFK’s vaccine rhetoric. It will have real impact on patients and low-income communities. This will make our lives harder and paychecks smaller too. That’s if we still have jobs. Hoping we all end up okay. Even to the trolls who will spew nonsense below this post, I wish you the best too.
