Revision TKA recommendations - Nashville or D/FW

Hey all, I am in medical sales in cardiac, but have a background in sports medicine so I know just enough to be dangerous. My mother had a TKA performed at her small-ish town hospital in 2008, and has had some degree of pain in the joint ever since that is slowly worsening. All tests for infection have been negative. Small town ortho #2 is now officially stumped as to the source of the problem.

I want to refer her to the best revision knee person in either Nashville or Dallas/Fort Worth (family that can help with post-op care in both places). I've been out of ortho long enough that I don't have anyone to call with the "who would you send your own mother to" question, so I'm taking my chances with CF.

I plan to place this same post on multiple ortho company pages. I have a copy of her op note, so I know what she has, but would prefer to keep the conversation company neutral unless the prevailing opinion is that doctor experience with that system will make a difference. Thanks in advance for your help.

What kind of pain does she have and where (i.e. is it localized to soft tissue in a particular area or just diffuse)?

Is it steady/constant or does it come and go and/or follow activity?

There are advantages to you stating which brand - for instance if it was a cemented Stryker Scorpio, an LCS P/S or even a Nexgen CR Flex cementless - all have known issues and modes of failure (oh - or a cementless Oxinium!).

Well, her knee all of a sudden quit hurting. Lord help us how it healed! The doctor who did her first surgery should pay though because I think at one point it was fairly bad. Thanks for the advice.
