Revised college rankings after Week #12

Boise should be in front of both Stanford and Virginia Tech.

Stanford put on a piss poor performance against Oregon who just got beat by USC. And in Week 12 Stanford barely squeaked by the California Bears who are 3-5 in the PAC12 conference. They won by only a lousy field goal. So why are they ranked #4 and #5 in the AP and Coaches polls, respectively? That's total BS. Boise should be in front of them. Boise only lost to TCU (9-2) by a lousy point.

And look at Virginia Tech's schedule. Talk about cupcakes! Appalachian State, East Carolina, Arkansas State, Marshall, Duke...... Why are they #6 and #4 in the AP and Coaches poll, respectively?

If you want to be honest, Arkansas' schedule for 2011 hasn't been that tough either. Take a look at their opponents.

I have no argument against LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma State - all three teams are damned good even though Oklahoma State let one get away with Iowa State.

But Boise should be in front of both Stanford and Virginia Tech.

Did you notice that USC jumped from #18 to #10 in the AP poll but aren't even listed on the Coaches poll after their win over Oregon??? WTF? What's up with that?

These polls are about as f'ed up as our Federal budget!!! :D

USC is not listed in the Coaches Poll because they are on probation for the whole Reggie Bush debacle. They are still playing lights out even though they are on probation. USC will not be able to play in a bowl game this year as part of the NCAA sanctions.

Arkansas has had some challenging opponents like Texas A&M but have also almost been beaten by Vandy. I guess the reason why Virginia Tech is ranked higher than Boise is due to shit stomping Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

I guess Stanford is ranked higher than Boise is due to them beating USC? It was good to see Oregon take them down. The most important games of the season are this week Rivalry Week so anything can happen.

Thanks for the reminder on the USC probation thing, bama. I forgot about that. When I looked at the rankings it really looked screwy.

Virginia Tech may have shitstomped Georgia Tech in Atlanta but Boise Shitstomped Georgia in the Georgia Dome. Look at the shit teams that Virginia Tech played so far. Worse than some of the muffins on Boise's schedule!

So what if Stanford beat USC? USC is ranked behind Boise State and always has been. And Stanford came REAL close to getting beat by U of California Bears on Saturday. The Bears suck.

The Coaches poll even had Houston ahead of Boise for God sakes! Have you seen Houston's schedule?? They might as well be in a Community College league!

Now this is just sad. Look, I like you but you have got to come to grips w/ something. The world does not revolve around Boise St.

It revolves around the SEC.

I agree that Houston should not be ranked ahead of Boise State? I think Virginia Tech beating Georgia Tech later in the season helped their ranking. Boise played Georgia the first game of the season and I think lots of folks (voters) have forgotten that beat down. It is good for Boise that Georgia is the SEC East Champs but Kentucky laid 10 points on Georgia Saturday. Kentucky is absolutely horrible in Football, we have them in the SEC for Basketball....
If LSU or Bama plays Georgia for the SEC Championship game they will totally destroy Georgia...

Had that dumb-ass reserve back from Boise State not gone into the TCU game with minutes left in the 4th quarter when Harper got hurt and fumbled the farking ball on the TCU 30 yard line Boise Broncos would have won and would be ranked 2nd in the nation right now. In that situation BALL PROTECTION should be the first thing on any running back's mind for Christ sakes! If I were him I would be ashamed to walk around on campus.

Boise deserves to be ahead of Houston, Virginia Tech and Stanford. I never said that Boise deserves to be in front of Alabama, Oklahoma State or even Arkansas. But I sure hope Boise gets a shot at playing one of those three bastards in the BCS bowl games and setting the record straight once and for all. Boise spanked the hell out of Georgia in the Georgia Dome by 2 full touchdowns.

I am going to be so pissed off if the BCS committee pairs Boise off with Houston or some other POS team. Boise deserves a shot at one of the big boys. Boise's team next year will not be as good as this one. I would LOVE to see Boise play Alabama.

Thanks, PHo, for the laugh out loud. Funniest thing I've heard all week.

And isn't that all-knowing BCS computer supposed to figure all this nonsense out by bowl time?

How you like that, Bronco??? #1, #2 and #3 in the nation all SEC. Pure domination. That being said, I am really not looking forward to an LSU-Bama repeat for the NC game. I'd much rather see LSU whoop ass in one of the inferior conferences.

Boise can't beat Alabama. The defense would eat them alive. Literally, like cannibals. Or mabe like a great white shark. You wouldn't even be able to hear the announcer. All you would hear is "CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!"

Hell, I gotta better chance of winning the lottery.

Many people adamantly asserted that Boise State would never beat Georgia in the Georgia Dome. Yet they shitstomped them by 2 full touchdowns.

Alabama's defense against LSU didn't really impress me. In fact, it was pretty mediocre. They gave up 239 yards and 15 first downs.

I think Boise State would give them a good game. Personally, I hope it happens.

Alabama's Defense never let LSU score a touchdown! That is what you call a dominant defense. I agree with you on an Alabama Vs. Boise State BCS Matchup, it would make for an interesting game. Boise Vs. Houston would a real turd of a Bowl Game. You have to admit Georgia is not Alabama.

One thing upset Saturday Proved was "defense wins championships!" Those fun and gun spread offenses are fun to watch but put them up against a team with a real defense and those pass happy QB's will be sacked or intercepted. Teams with dominant defenses win. LSU would have totally destroyed shit stomped Andrew Luck and those tree huggers in NOLA..

IRON BOWL: Alabama wants revenge for last year. They are playing for redemption and a shot at the National Championship. Pre-Season Coach Saban put a picture of Nick Fairley and Cam Newton laughing at the scoreboard after Auburn won the Iron Bowl last year on every team member's locker with the words "NEVER AGAIN." A Pro-Auburn Sports Writer here in Birmingham wrote an article this past weekend saying that this Iron Bowl will look very similar to the 2008 Iron Bowl. Bama 36 Auburn 0!!

Last I looked Georgia was 9-2. Boise was one of two teams that beat them. And So Carolina only beat them by 3 pts. Boise beat them by 2 touchdowns in the Georgia Dome.

Georgia beat Auburn by what? 45-7? Shit, if Alabama can't dismantle Auburn by at least 3 touchdowns the crimson tide shouldn't even be in the top 10.

I am not saying that Alabama is not a good football team. I am simply saying they are beatable and I think Boise could give them a run for their money.

If Alabama only had a kicker. You of all people should understand that.

Ok. Let's hope it happens then we can settle this once and for all. The Tide vs the Unibombers.

Just remember "CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!"

I think Alabama would have lose to Auburn for Boise to get a shot at Alabama in a BCS game. I see that Alabama is a favorite over Auburn by 3 full touchdowns. Unless we see another meltdown like with Oklahoma State - Auburn loses. But I don't think they lose by 3 touchdowns.

Whoever plays Boise had better be on top of their game. Otherwise it could be a real embarrassing day and bummer way to end the season.

That's all I'm sayin'. ;)
