Return to Pharma

Look to a contract company to get started again. Way more flexible with hiring and especially with big pharma cutting back so much. The industry is so much more metrics driven than when you left, so that's something to consider. They really don't want people who are able to think anymore. Good luck with your choices.

Metrics are all about checking boxes and jumping through hoops with busy activities that have nothing to do with growing business or taking care of customers. Most of the things that they want us to do actually piss customers off and are likely to result in loosing what ever crumbs of access there might be left in the world.
But everyone will look stellar on paper for all their "activities"
