Retention Bonus for Mgrs.

So I have a question... If you are a mgr and you get laid off, do you still get your retention bonus or are you S.O.L? With cost being cut, I think I would be a little worried.
 






The people who are worried now are on the GI side of the business (Salix) where a round of cuts was announced yesterday, 4/4, and more are expected. 32 KAM positions were lost (from 72 down to 40). Salix Pain Division lost approximately 50% and has been reduced to around 25 positions. FAM count was reduced, as well. Cuts to the other GI sales forces (Futura, Willow, Integra, and the newly formed Polaris) are coming. For the few legacy Salix reps (pre-acquisition Salix) who stayed on with Valeant to this date, there is no generous Salix package, as the layoff occurred after 4/1/16. Valeant made sure that the layoffs occurred after 4/1 so that the Salix package would no longer be in effect. These people will only receive the standard Valeant 2-week severance package.

If you're a manager who was offered a retention bonus, you were given the terms. Those terms apply to being employed at a certain date. Period.
