Respiratory layoffs

So, it's happening. At least here in Wisconsin.

But if we have to interview for the remaining spots, why are they also advertising these territories to external candidates?

That's just insult to injury in my eyes. Sad and painful.

Ah, yes, the Genentech Way. So glad that we who were on Pegasys years ago weren’t the only ones who had to jump higher than an outside candidate to stay employed here. Such an inspirational dog shit eating organization.

Maybe be engaged and listen in on at least one of the CMG calls (all explained in depth there) - what you are stating should not be a surprise, if you don't know what going on, then you probably need to find a new job.

I heard that they are implementing WFH but also shuttering many departments which will be OUTSOURCED to India call center. It is because H1B Visa have been frozen until the end of the year. It’s sad. All I can say is what happened?

As stated above, you missed some key info in previously CMG/Respiratory calls. We knew they would look outside. You don't get more diverse by hiring from the same batch of people.

I would say that layoffs for Respiratory have occurred. It's just called transformation. I dare you to count the number of Respiratory people that "survived". Its literally a handful...

Of course, Gene wants to have a very diverse team. We need to have the dumb, the dumber and the dumbest. You really have to go outside to get this wide range of idiocy to match the leadership team. .

Heard that there was a total bloodbath on the respiratory MSL team. Something like 80% left. WTF? Who is running this place? Oh right, heard the new leadership on that team is beyond horrific. NO always says people work for people. So apparently they hired people no one wants to work for. One day someone will write a book on how to destroy a team and use this as a real life example.

Exactly ... once Blaine and Larry were announce ... it was game over for the Respiratory MSLs. They all bailed.

So true concerning the resp MSL team. Lost a lot of good talent due to hiring poor leadership.

Can any objective person come up with just one redeeming quality of this company at this point? Seriously I can't and that's why I am leaving. This is a very sad place these days.
