Resolute stent thrombosis

Hey Abbott, you may want to look in medtronics IFU. It repeatedly mentions possible complications associated with stent thrombosis.....Here is the exact wording in their IFU:

Note: Observation of the patient and angiographic evaluation of the stent site should be performed periodically within the first 30 minutes after stent placement. If stent placement is associated with the onset of thrombus or suspected thrombus in the region of the stented segment, intracoronary infusions of a thrombolytic agent is recommended......

So, do any of you think a Dr. is going to observe a patient on the table for 30 minutes post stent implant? I think not....Oh yeah, it also mentions stent deformation......

The first patient implanted with the resolute stent at Albany Medical center had to return to the cath lab 2 hours after implantation....STENT THROMBOSIS.....

Good selling

Really,

Wow, I guess those thousands of patients in the resolute study all had issues, huh?

Dude, Big blue is cleaning up right now and unlike ABT? they can bundle their stents with pacers, icd's and many other devices.

Abbott? kids formula, carotid stents and what else?

Dumbass that language has been in the DFU since the AVE days. Your stent thrombosis crap is silly. MDT has two year data published in the Lancet showing no difference in ST in a large all comer population with both Resolute and Xience having amazingly low rates of ST. The also have a second all comer independent study paid for equally by them and ABT with no difference in ST with a higher rate of Early ST in the Xience arm. Face facts. MDT has excellent data, the most deliverable platform, bundle capability, diabetes indication, a robust pipeline (in your customers lifetime). They don't have a ST issue and they dont have a longitudinal deformation problem. Resolute Integrity is the real deal and it's gonna take huge share.

Hey dumb ass. I did't say everyone had issues but it seems that resolute has the highest stent thrombosis of any des on the market fucker...

Rate was 0.1% in the 1402 patient US trial. Show me a trial that large with any other stent that has a lower rate.

I hope you morons keep beating this drum because it makes you look stupid and defensive. You will lose all your credibility along with your market share.

Stent thrombosis this early is procedure or patient related. To say it is stent related would get any rep laughed out of the cathlab. Good luck

Look at all the data and studies. All DES show about 1% ST. Then there is ARC def/prob Cherry pick a study and you can make any of the current DES look good or bad. ST are random events and studies are never powered to show this. Quit drinking the cherry (pick) Koolaid that your companies force you to drink. An educated physician and rep will make you look like a

Not when all the data and studies says there is a significant difference in ST......this is a 3rd gen stent that offers no benefits over 2nd gen products......and isn't as safe....no brainer once docs know data.

Call it what you want but is the only FDA approved stent for Diabetics..easy sell and MDT is winning.

you guys are focused on the wrong stent, that LSD issue with Boston? anyone see the presentations in Europe 2 weeks ago?

Wow. that is some serious sh-t if true. 2 of my customers have stopped using the stent for the most part and BSX is spinning..........................
