The employee handbook is a good place to start. They are supposed to pay you for the 2 week notice. If your manager tells you that you are done that day, then let him know you are fine with not going in the field, you will pack up the equipment, do your expense report, etc, but that the employee handbook states that Quintiles expects a 2 week notice, and you expect to get paid for those 2 weeks. You don't want it in your file that you just quit without notice because that is extremely unprofessional and you do not want to burn bridges. Have a letter signed and dated with your last day of employment written out 2 weeks from your announcement.

And Congratulations! It is such a great feeling to leave Quintiles!
 




































Go look in the employee handbook and read that a 2 week notice should be given if it is a voluntary termination. Your DM can of course say whatever they want to say, but most DM's are stupid and don't realize that when it is written in the Quintiles employee handbook, you actually have a policy in place that HR will back you up on.

Yes most DMs are stupid and all reps are smart. That is why you are working a temp CSO gig at a fraction of what the real company reps get. Very smart move there Porky!
 






Would rather work than starve!! Industry is losing jobs. Guess you are so busy at your full time "permanent job" that you have time to troll out board and make stupid comments? Go get a CSO job and find a life
