Reprocessed Trio

Ok, So now Stryker has been able to reprocess the Trio. Saw one in my OR today. I guess we are in the same boat as the Impact now. Anyone else seeing these?

are you sure it wasn't opened and unused? was it truly a reused reprocessed device? I've heard that the PTC in EnSeal can not be properly reprocessed and it will no longer consistently regulate heat. If it allows the temps to spike above 100, increased thermal spread can be managed by the surgeons (especially if they are familiar with Gyrus), but if the heat is too low? Houston, We have a problem! it will not properly seal a vessel. I can't say I like Reprocessed Harmonic, but it works most of the time, but this is a really bad idea.

Hahahaha. Every OEM says "they heard" their device cannot be reprocessed...until Stryker/Ascent reprocesses it. Covidien said this for years with the Ligasure. Oops.
