How does Vas still have a job? The company has been re-organizing every year since he took over. Vas is an incompetent leader like 90% of the people who come from McKinsey. It sucks that Novartis is such a shitty place to work now.

Vas’s “get over it” attitude about the questions about working remotely speaks volumes because he’s a short-sighted, self-important bully who can’t think 2 weeks let alone 2 quarters ahead. This is the same executive who authorized recruiting new talent through flexible work arrangements as he sold off half the campus only to pull a 180 because he can’t ever make up his goddamn mind.

I’ll be glad when the Board finally realizes Vas is a losing bet and fires him. I wonder if he’ll con another Board to let him ruin a biotech. How long before he goes back to his only skill, a hollow manipulative corporate con artist… I mean McKinsey consultant?

Our board is the problem. Jorge Reindhardt needs to go. That dinosaur has lurched off the NVS teat long enough.

Vas is already gone. Once the dust settles, they’ll bring in a replacement. You can’t bring in a new CEO and have their first move be to rescind CwR. He’s taking the fall now, so a new CEO acts as a morale boost later this year.

Funny how the only people complaining about remote working are the millionaire bosses. Everyone else can see that working from home works. People have better work life balance and productivity goes up by having more flexibility to where they work.

Not to mention it allows people who can’t relocate to be able to move ahead in the organization. There’s no opportunity for career advancement without CwR if you can’t move

Omg. Quit whining about having to go into work. Most other companies have required the same. Clearly people took advantage of it. If you are “top talent” that Novartis was able to attract with Choice with Responsibility, you should have no problem finding a new job.

It's not so much the having to go back in, it's the fact that they are lying motherfuckers who in writing said CwR was not tied to COVID and was not a short term thing. If they were just honest about it and said, hey look we have empty buildings we need to fill so we have to bring in hybrid working, then ok fair enough.
It's their constant bullshit that's annoying.

+1 plus the 3d chess like mental gymnastics spouting shit about being climate neutral while at the same time forcing people to drive 2 hours a day to sit on ms teams calls with the incompetents in the low cost countries. On top of that unbossing you and unleashing your power with data and digital. Or in other words a shitty excel spreadsheet

Some people do work better from home, why punish them?
