Does a field sales rep have to accept or quit with no severance a reorganization placement? This in particular concerns greatly expanded geography resulting in considerable overnights and miles driving, to the point of the territory being largely unworkable by a rep well over 55.

None. Unless you can prove they intentionally targeted you and/or others over 50, to have the huge territories hoping you'll quit.

You have no shot in hell unless you have an ADA illness that to accommodate your illness which requires less driving and that you need to sleep in your own bed, and they refuse to accommodate you.
