rejection letter

Welcome to the party. There are tons of ex-reps out there who are
not being considered. Outside contracts are bringing their people on
with them. Makes no difference if you are qualified.

By any chance did your balls smell? Did you spray them with Clorox Clean-Up before your interview? Many times one is rejected due to ball smell. Either that or a smelly wiener. Usually it's mandatory that one spray both until slightly damp and then let dry for 30 minutes. Better luck next time.

I can't believe I was rejected for a oncology position. Former employee (contact ended) sold onc. and still I was not looked at. What a loser I am.

You are not a loser! You win! Now you can focus on bigger and better. Seriously, look at this as a good thing. These cracker jacks have allowed some shady, illegal behavior go under the radar while canning some very descent, hardworking people whose character surpassed the very people who kicked them to the curb. It was insubordination by refusing to partake in manufactured consent...there are a few people in the corporate world who still have integrity, and sadly, this quality might just certainly cost one their job.

Rock the boat because it is worth rocking!

OP here. Found another job. Specialty lab, love it.

Bravo. Same boat here, five years on 8822 only to get little to no response to every qualified position I applied for with this horseshit company.

I would advise more to get out of pharma, it makes you too narrow-minded and too pigeonholed, not a good thing in a fast-shrinking job market. I was lucky enough to land a home health job with a local company who pays a better salary, more control over my business, and the opportunity to network more. Doctors actually want to talk to me for a change, especially when they have patients that need help.

After five years of pharma I felt like I was a weaker job candidate. Too much focus on too few products and not enough networking outside physician offices. I actually like what I do and don't feel like I'm just collecting a paycheck.

Congrats to the OP and others who found bigger and better career opportunities that leave you feeling good about your job at the end of the day.

So nice to see people are waking up to the realities of this industry...it's only good when you take it for the money. If that's the case, the real money is with the investment firms.

Again, I am happy to hear about your new jobs! Good luck to you and take care!

I rock boats that need a rocking!

Above poster. Very cool. Well said. It's not just about the money, it's about making
a difference. Isn't that why we all took these positions in the first place?

Yes, and that is why this job is so bad for the psyche, because everyday we are trained to do things noone wants to hear about unless we can feed them or give them something besides samples for their time. Seriously, when I started my fist job in pharma, I could not believe what was considered a conversation with a doc...and after awhile, you realize how insignificant this job really is, and how the claims made by companies may or may not be true, and being the mouthpiece of the company, you are responsible for what is said. 'Thats what I was told' sounds so lame...but that is how we do things in the USA!
