Rejected or ???

So I had a final interview earlier this month in Dallas. Think it went well. Recruiter was there and told me I would hear something by following Wed (the 11th). And he said offers would be out by Oct 23rd. The 11th came and went. Didn’t hear anything. I sent him a follow up email on the 12th. No response. Texted him this morning (the 16th) and he left me on read. If I didn’t get the job, why can’t they just let me know?

The hiring manager and the recruiter were both pretty good at communicating with me up until this past week. So I’m a bit confused

You’re #2. The primary candidate hasn’t signed the offer letter and cleared background yet. Once they do, you’ll receive a rejection email/letter.

I’ve been there. Sorry, it sucks.

I went through multiple rounds of interviews in The Allergy division, two years ago with his company. Both interviews went well or at least that's what they told me. I never heard back from anyone, eventually got a letter a month or so later.

I understand that's how business is done now, but still pretty classless

Yeah, that's standard procedure for this place. I had multiple rounds as well. One of the panel managers didn't even have her name listed and insisted I call her by her first initial. Elevated age employee - or maybe a hard drinker. Either way, this company does not have even mediocre leadership. They're rude without the credibility to have the attitude. Dupixent is a good drug but the people here are another story. Keep those SEG scores up!

When I interviewed I received notification that I wasn’t moving ahead. It may be dependent on manager?
