Whoever is making these acquisition decisions should be fired immediately. The whole FIP NET approach is really simplistic. It's like something a 19 year old business student would come up with. These people spend too much time in meetings.
I have seen some of these brainstorming sessions real up close. The prerequisites for being on a team that makes billion dollar mistakes are as follows:
1. Have the look: smart, doesn't smile, yet doesn't frown.
2. Always reflects carefully prior to enlightening colleagues.
3. No useful background germane to the topic at hand.
4. Must add racial or sexual diversity to the group.
5. Power point expert.
